Destiny

Destiny, our electronic catalog, houses information regarding over 9,500 books and audiovisual materials available in our library.  Access our library catalog from school or home to explore books, request holds and research projects.

Research Tools

Resource lists, created in Destiny for specific school projects, include library books and related websites which students can access from home.

  • Webpath Express, a Destiny search engine, is a place to use the internet to individualize topics of research.
  • Britannica School Middle – An online encyclopedia, is a place to explore maps, photos, articles, famous people and places, compare countries, and tour the U.S.A.
  • Research in Context – Includes the most-studied topics for grades 6-8 – literature, science, social studies, and U.S. and world history.  Information comes from authoritative sources including Gale, National Geographic and Scholastic.
  • World Book Online, an online encyclopedia, provides information for researching a project topic.
  • MEL, Michigan Electronic Library, provides available databases such as Opposing Viewpoints and eBook K-8 collection.
