April 25 Home Communicator – One day after school last week, one of our Kids’ Corner staff members was sitting on the floor and playing with some of our 3 School and 4 School students. One of our 3 School students looked up at her with excitement bursting from her eyes and said, “Did you know that God pumps your heart and when it stops….Jesus carries you to a big new house up in heaven? Isn’t that SO amazing?!”
These are the moments we pray for. Throughout the school year we work so hard on teaching our students letters and sounds, how to interact with their friends, and how to participate in school. We learn about God through His Word, we sing songs of praise to Him, and we learn about His Creation. However, it is always our prayer that our students fall more in love with God and that they better understand God’s gift to us in Jesus.
Seeing the excitement in this child’s eyes brought our Kids’ Corner staff so much joy. I am so thankful for the ways God is working in these young hearts! I pray that we all can experience the hope and excitement of knowing God has us all in His hands.
