April 25 Home Communicator – Just two years ago, we had our first meeting with a table full of HCS community members, seeking guidance and discussing the feasibility of purchasing and expanding into the soon-to-be-vacated Unity Christian school right next door. We had some big questions like: “Will people see how big of a need we have?”, “Will this former high school building meet the needs of elementary students?” and “Is a HCS capital campaign even possible with the Unity project underway?” The response we had from the community was a resounding “YES”! We knew the Lord was clearly leading us into expanding our current facilities so that we could continue to meet the needs of those who desired a Christ-centered education for their children in the Hudsonville area.
Part of this project involved raising the funds for the expansion, and our School Board was committed to not raising tuition to make it happen. While the final phase of the project is just underway with the demolition of the south gym, and all of the final bills are not yet in, I am so happy to tell you that as of yesterday, the $2.9 million is accounted for! We praise God for His faithfulness throughout this entire process thus far, and know that He will see it through to completion. We are so very grateful to so many of you who have financially supported and prayed for the growth of His mission at HCS.
All Praise to The One…
