It is so wonderful to have your children back in the hallways and classrooms at school! Thanks, too, for the great turnout we had at both campuses for our Open House, and at the elementary for Orientation Night.
I wanted you to know that, last Tuesday, our staff met together for the day at Camp Blodgett on Lake Michigan. During our time together, we spent time sharing, praising God, and also in a time of prayer. We were also inspired by someone who is well known to this community – Dan Seaborn. Dan encouraged us in our theme this year, “Running the Race”. Proverbs 4:25, 26, “Let your eyes look straight ahead: fix your gaze directly before you. Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways.”
Dan challenged us in our personal lives as well as in our commitment to working with children; to stay focused on God’s calling for us and our commitment to serving Him through teaching our children. A phrase I will not soon forget is when Dan looked at all of us and said, “We are all life shapers and difference makers. Let’s go rock it for Jesus!” What an awesome, yet humbling, thought for all of us.
As a staff, we again look forward to partnering with all of you in the journey of teaching your children. Thank you once again for trusting us in this exciting process of challenging their minds and lives for Christ.
Serving Him together,
Dan Pott, Superintendent
