December 13 Home Communicator – “Immeasurably More”
Come with me to the Knickerbocker Theatre in Holland on Saturday afternoon. I’m sitting next to Sadie, one of my favorite dance loving former students, watching Elisa, one of my favorite dance loving current students. The production is a ballet called “The Promise”, a Christmas tradition for many years. Elisa is on stage, her face shining from the intense stage lights, but even more by the passion she has for sharing the story of Jesus through dance.
Come with me to the Spotts’ home on Sunday night. I’m sitting next to Kevin, my favorite husband, chatting on Facetime with Anna, my favorite 21 year old daughter. Anna, on her trip home from a semester abroad, found herself stranded in Washington DC due to inclement weather. She was telling us about the family from India she met in the airport. Anna is on stage, her face shining from intense airport lights, but even more by the passion she has to share the story of Jesus through relationships.
The dancer and the traveler were both shining the light of Jesus this weekend. They both were gifted to do “immeasurably more” by The One who is able to do “immeasurably more”. Elisa danced in front of hundreds to share the story of The One. Anna built relationships with a single family to share the story of The One.
I am thankful for both.
I am thankful for Hudsonville Christian School for preparing our kids to share The One in any situation.
