February 11 Home Communicator – As a middle school, we strive to partner with parents every day in developing and educating our students to become Christ followers in all areas of life. One area that is continuing to be a major focus is the use of technology. Our students have grown up in a digital world; they have learned to snap, post, chat, text, game and stream. While we continue to pray that our students use technology well, there is a brokenness that has grown in this digital world as well. As this digital world is constantly changing, we strive to provide and work with both parents and students on providing opportunities to learn more about this rapidly-changing world every year.
This week at the middle school, we have the opportunity to continue to educate and work with our students to make awesome, positive online choices. Protect Young Eyes, an organization that has worked with our parents the last couple of years and has the mission of “helping families, schools, and churches create safer digital environments,”will be working with students on Tuesday February 11. They will be coming to empower our students to use technology well, and for the glory of God.
As our world is constantly changing, we hold fast to the truths that our world belongs to God. As a school we continue to stand firm in our faith while moving forward each day. We are excited about this opportunity and continue to work toward partnering with parents in all areas of life.
In Christ,
Justin Knot, Middle School Principal
