Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition,
with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
Philippians 4:6
Last Thursday, I had the privilege of stopping into Mrs. Havert’s Young Fives class to let them know that God had answered one of their prayers. Grayson’s Great Grandpa came home from the hospital! Great Grandpa took the time to call me to say he was so touched that the class was praying for him and wanted the kids to know that he was now recovering at home. What a beautiful moment to share with these children and their teacher!
This is Christian education. This is our ‘why’. These students, at only 5 years old, are spending their school days in an environment where learning to present their requests to God through prayer is a common occurrence. They are learning about the power of prayer and the healing mercies of their Father in Heaven. They are learning that when they are worried about something or someone, they can bring their concerns to God. As I walk the hallways of the elementary building, it brings so much joy to my heart to hear kids singing praises, to watch them praying for each other, and to see students caring for one another. God is at work at Hudsonville Christian School! Let’s praise Him for His goodness and faithfulness!
In Christ, Tricia Kiepert, Elementary Principal
