January 25 Home Communicator – On Thursday evening, Hudsonville Christian hosted the annual Early Childhood Exploration Night. This event is an opportunity for parents to come into the building and hear about the different programs offered in early childhood, 3 School through Kindergarten. Every year, we see families come to learn about HCS in anticipation of what school will look like for their children. The anticipation comes with many questions: “How many days a week should my child attend preschool? Should they do Young 5s or Kindergarten? How does Kids’ Corner work?” We answered these questions and many more, but we also had an opportunity to focus on what HCS is all about:
Challenging minds and lives FOR Christ.
We shared devotions, prayed, and heard stories from current parents and staff that showed the love our school has for children and Jesus. As I listened to these stories, tears welled up in my eyes. I was reminded that not only do I have the privilege of working at this special place that roots itself in Biblical truths, but my children also get to grow and learn here. Several times during the evening, the message was shared that HCS wants to partner with parents to “Train up a child in the way he should go” (Proverbs 22:6). We look forward to many more families joining in a partnership with HCS, as they are the future of our school. For me and my family, that partnership is a blessing from above.
