January 29 Home Communicator– You may think being halfway through the school year at Hudsonville Christian that we have moved on. But we haven’t. We are still in the same place we were when we started the school year. “Really,” you ask? “All the teaching, testing, nurturing, mentoring, and you are still in the same place you started?” Yes. It’s true. We are not moving. We are fixed. Still giving careful thought to all our ways. Our gaze is still steadfast. We are not turning to the left or the right. In fact, we are right where we should be.
“Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you. Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways”. (Proverbs 4:25-26)
When we remain steadfast and carefully think about our theme verse, we see God moving. Calling. Leading and guiding. We see Him prompting a kindergartner to eagerly sell handmade ornaments, earning $13.10 to contribute to her class giving project. We see Him packing the gym full of parents seeking Christ-centered partnership at our early childhood exploration night this past week. We see Him moving as we read report cards that celebrate each child as a special and unique child of God and give voice to how He is shaping and molding tender hearts to love Him and others more. We see Him calling a Middle School student leadership team to passionately lead the school into a partnership with New City Kids. Leading…by being still.
In fact, It’s how all of our races should be run isn’t it? Being still. Staying fixed. Remaining steadfast. Allowing Him to move through us.
All Glory to God for how He is moving at Hudsonville Christian School.
Running the race with you… by being still,
