March 1 Home Communicator – The days are getting longer. Have you noticed? After a long winter it’s so refreshing to have a few more minutes of daylight! During the winter I had times where I doubted it would ever end!! But those extra minutes of sunlight make me more hopeful that spring is indeed coming, bringing the warmer summer weather that is my favorite!
Don’t we have times that are in our lives like that too? Stretches of days, seasons of life maybe, that seem dark and heavy, days that make us doubt that the light will ever come? Life’s difficulties, unexpected trials, curveballs that are thrown our way come that tempt us toward doubt and make us feel hopeless?
I’m so thankful that at Hudsonville Christian school, we can partner with families as the body of Christ to come together in all circumstances, celebrating, rejoicing, and sometimes clinging and reminding each other of the truth and hope we share…especially in the seasons of life that seem long: “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” John 1:5
It’s a special thing to be part of a community that is united in mission, centered on truth, and dedicated to nurturing the next generation in the Lord. Thank you, Hudsonville Christian community, for committing to and supporting Christ-centered education!
