March 9 Home Communicator –The world feels heavy right now. Kids in our community have lost their lives too young. People have lost family members or have become diagnosed with cancer. The worldwide pandemic is still going on a year later, and our lives continue to look very different than they used to. At times, it all feels like too much.
With the weight of the world pressing down, God continues to show me His faithfulness and steady hand. As I walked down the hall the other day, a 4 School class was belting out the song Great Big God. They sang:
Our God is a great big God
Our God is a great big God
Our God is a great big God
And He holds us in His hand
He’s known me and He’s loved me
Since before the world began
How wonderful to be a part of
God’s amazing plan

The kids ended that song with their hands cupped together and singing at the top of their lungs, “And He holds us in His Hand!” What a beautiful truth to be reminded of. In all the ick, in all the hard, in all the unknowns, God remains faithful and we remain in the palm of His almighty Hand. He knows us, He loves us, and we are part of His perfect plan.
God’s Word reminds us in Isaiah 41:10: “So do not fear for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will uphold you with my righteous hand.” This past year has taught us that we don’t always know what tomorrow holds, but we do know that we serve a God that is good and faithful and He will never let us go.
Being held in God’s hand,
