May 31 Home Communicator – It’s going to be an exciting summer at Hudsonville Christian! If you have been near the school in the past few weeks, you will have noticed big red dumpsters and many workers in suits and hard hats near the former Unity building. The asbestos abatement is nearly finished, and the demolition of the south and east wings will begin within the next week or so. The office reconstruction will begin this week, and the connector construction between the two buildings will begin as soon as school lets out next week.
We are so blessed to be in a situation where we need to expand the physical space of our school. God is doing amazing things thru His people at Hudsonville Christian, and we are so honored to be partnering with you in raising your children in the Lord.
This past week, you should have received a mailer giving you a project time-line and a financial update. We thought you would be interested to know that approximately 400 HCS community members have supported the Expansion Project financially thus far. This number represents a small portion of our broader Hudsonville Christian community of parents, grandparents, businesses, friends and students. The Expansion Project received unanimous approval by both our board and our broader society, and we would love to have 100% HCS community participation on the giving side of this project as well.
Starting tonight, we are going to provide you with an opportunity to be a part of our 100% participation goal. Our fundraising partner, J Milito and Associates, will be contacting each member of our HCS community. It is our hope that every parent, every grandparent, and every member of our HCS community will give a generous gift when the call is received. We are praising God for a couple of financial partners who have offered a $200,000 match for this phone-a-thon!! This means that the first $200,000 raised will be matched dollar for dollar, essentially doubling your gift. What a blessing!!!
We look forward to celebrating our new space with you in August, and hope that you will partner with us financially to have it fully funded before the new school year begins.
