November 13 Home Communicator – A teacher spends approximately 7 hours a day with the students in their classroom. Multiply that by 180 days of school and that comes out to 1,260 hours a school year. That number is just school and classroom time, there are many more instances where teachers are involved in teaching outside of the school day as well. This is a lot of time for learning opportunities and teachable moments to make a lasting impression and help students develop spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and physically.
To highlight a few, let’s take a glimpse at what has gone on in the last week. Daily rug time going through the calendar and daily events, field trips to both downtown Hudsonville as well as the Air and Space Museum, learning how to bundle up and put boots on with the first snow, thinking about our identity in Christ, community worship through chapel, understanding reading and math concepts and so many more. When we stop and think about all of the learning opportunities that happen each and every day, what a blessing it is that a place like Hudsonville Christian, where the teachers speak the truth and love of Christ into it all, is available to every family that is interested in this special place.
Thank you for choosing to partner with all of us at the school to make this a place that truly can feel like a home to so many!
In Christ,
Justin Knot, Director of Curriculum and Instruction
