November 28 Home Communicator – At Hudsonville Christian, the Christmas season brings so much joy as we focus on the One who came to this earth as a baby, so He could know and experience this life with us…so we could have His perfect example to live by. He was able to experience, fully God and fully man, the joys and the hurts of life on earth. I know that many of you, as well as some of our students, are hurting right now, and this season often heightens those feelings of grief, loss and hurt. I was in that place for many years after losing my dad so suddenly just a week before Christmas, almost 14 years ago.
To those of you who are hurting right now, Jesus sees you. He wants you to know that He loves you so very much. He told us that in this life there would be troubles, but to take heart, because He has overcome the world! When we focus on Him, it truly makes ALL the difference! The enemy cannot steal the joy of the Lord in us!
It is a delight to be able to help teach these truths of the Bible to our students at HCS. As we enter this Christmas season, let’s focus on living the way Jesus did, with eyes wide open…seeing, loving and caring for the people around us.
