November 7 Home Communicator – “Great is God’s Faithfulness!”
Last Friday was Grandparents’ Day at Hudsonville Christian School. Grandparents came from near AND far to spend the day with their grandchildren in the elementary and/or the middle school. It is always amazing how many grandparents are able to join us and we are blessed by their participation. Hudsonville Christian School has had a long tradition of support by parents of attending students but also the support of grandparents. This was again apparent with the large turnout of Friday. What a tremendous blessing! And what made it even more special is that this year we are also celebrating 100 years of God’s faithfulness to Hudsonville Christian School. What a tremendous blessing!
Chapels were held at both buildings, each celebrating God’s faithfulness from one generation to the next. The examples given of faith lessons passed from one generation to the next were a blessing and we experienced holy moments throughout the chapels. Being blessed to be able to worship in chapel at both schools reminded me of the verses in Deuteronomy 6 to “Love the Lord our God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your house and on your gates.” This is what is at the heart of Christian Education and in the hallmark of Hudsonville Christian School. We are thankful for the lessons in faith that have been taught and those that continue to be taught. Celebrating those together during Grandparents’ Day was a remarkable and blessed experience. To God be the glory – great is His faithfulness!
Serving a Faithful God,
