September 12 Home Communicator – “God IS Faithful!”
We have now started our third week of the new school year. Students and staff have settled into the routine of school and already the days are starting to go quickly. The pace is picking up and schedules are getting full. In this day and age of busy schedules, instantaneous communication, and unsettling country and world events, things can seem out of control.
Yet we know that our hope lies in God, and we know He is in control and has not surrendered His authority. God is and will remain faithful. How fitting that our school theme this year is ‘Telling the Story’ based on Psalm 26: 2b-3 – “Lord, examine my heart and my mind; for I have been mindful of your unfailing love and have lived in reliance on your faithfulness.” This school year we will focus on that faithfulness by seeing the examples of it in the Bible, by seeing the examples of it in the 100 years that Hudsonville Christian School has existed, by seeing the examples of it in the lives of others, and by seeing examples of it in our own lives. We will celebrate and respond to His faithfulness by ‘telling the story’ to others.
Already we have been blessed by the school theme. At both the elementary and middle school, chapels have provided worship opportunities for our students and staff to recognize and thank God for His faithfulness. We have also been reminded that God wrote each of us into the world. He created each of us to be a complex character with a special role to play in His story. We eagerly look forward to finding out what more God has planned for us to learn as the school year progresses and for the opportunities to tell the story. We continue to covet your prayers and value your partnership in all areas of your child’s education.
Telling the Story Together,
Mary Broene, Middle School Principal
