September 22 Home Communicator – Great is God’s Faithfulness!
It is hard to believe that we have started our fourth week of school! It continues to be wonderful being back in school and God continues to bless us daily. Students are happy to be back and their enthusiasm and excitement bring energy to our hallways and classrooms. Teachers are also happy to be back and able to live into their calling as educators of God’s children.
“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
for His compassions never fail.
They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
Lamentations 3:22-23 NIV
Every morning I think of these verses and thank God for His faithfulness in all things. For over 100 years, we have experienced His faithfulness at Hudsonville Christian School. Please join me in praying for God’s faithfulness to be abundantly evident in two ongoing initiatives of HCS:
Strategic Plan – As you know, last school year we began the important work of developing a new 5-year strategic plan – based on your survey input – that will continue to advance the mission and vision that is the heart of Hudsonville Christian School. Task force teams worked diligently last spring, during the summer, and this fall to complete their goals. A report is now being written with the goal of presenting it to the School Board in October or November for approval.
Superintendent Search – Thank you for your input to the survey focus questions helping define the well-qualified and Christ-honoring candidate – that humble servant leader – we are seeking to continue the mission and vision of Hudsonville Christian School. The soft search – which started in May – shifted to a formal search in August. The search has gained traction with a number of candidates and is now ready to take the next steps of narrowing down the pool of candidates. The School Board along with the Superintendent Search Committee continue to ask for your prayers as we continue this process.
Pray specifically for the following:
- Grace and wisdom among the HCS family and members of the Board and Search Committee
- That the vision and mission of HCS will remain at the forefront of all decisions we face.
- That we will trust God and His faithfulness to direct us to the leader that He has chosen and we will be diligent in our search and after the heart and mind of our Father God
Thank you for your support and partnership now and always in growing God’s kingdom and challenging minds and lives for Christ.
Serving together,
Mary Broene, Interim Superintendent
