In 1984, God led me to Hudsonville Christian where I have been ever since. I have taught many different subject areas while at Hudsonville Christian, but for the last several years the focus has been on my homeroom Bible and 8th Grade Science.

Philosophical Biography
As a homeroom teacher I have a great opportunity to develop relationships with each of my students through devotions both teacher and student led. Mornings and lunchtimes are special times of the day for us as we share together how things are going in many areas of our lives, but most importantly our spiritual walk with our Savior.
Teaching Bible and Science gives me many opportunities to show my students “What a Mighty God We Serve”. The challenge to walk with our Savior flows well from our Bible class as we learn about Christ’s ministry and His early church. I enjoy seeing the students taking steps in their personal journey with Jesus as they learn more about Him in class. Science class is where we see God in His creation. In all that we study, from chemical building blocks to heredity and everything in between, we come to appreciate what our Creator has done. I feel that a large part of my job is to allow students to see that Mighty God in His creation. God truly has blessed me with the opportunity to teach both Bible and Science, because in many ways they both show that we certainly do serve a Mighty God.
