Romans 8:37-39

“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Mr. David Miedema

The past 3 years I have taught 7th Grade Social Studies as well as High School World History, Civics, and Current Events. At each previous school, I have also coached soccer in some capacity. Personal Biography

I grew up in Allendale and attended Allendale Christian from Kindergarten through 8th grade and graduated from Unity Christian in 2008. I enjoy most things competitive from sports to board and card games. Outside of school, you could possibly find me road biking, reading, listening to music, enjoying conversation over coffee, or fishing. I am currently finishing up my Master’s in Curriculum & Instruction, which takes up a notable portion of my time.

Philosophical Biography

The power of story is what originally drew me to the field of education. Our role and place in God’s grand narrative never ceases to amaze me, and I believe my purpose as a teacher is to help students discover their place in God’s story and uncover their purpose within it. Although difficult to accept at first, it’s comforting to know that we all live for Someone greater than ourselves. Each child is uniquely created and gifted by our Creator, and it is my privilege to walk beside students to learn how to best serve and glorify Him together!
