“The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ.”

Professional Biography
Growing up in a family of teachers has given me this same passion for education in my life. I attended Hudsonville Christian and Unity Christian and then graduated from Dordt College in 2012 with a degree in elementary education, with a coaching endorsement, reading endorsement and specialization in music. I completed my Master’s degree in Education Leadership from Grand Valley State University in 2018. After graduation I taught at Allendale Christian in 4th grade, at Calvin Christian in Illinois teaching middle school computers, library, 3rd grade and helping in band. I taught 3 years at Hudsonville Christian Middle School in 6th grade and for 3 years as the Curriculum Director. I am excited to be the Middle School Principal at Hudsonville Christian.
Personal Biography
My wife Jordan and I were married in the summer of 2012 and are currently living in Jenison. We have been blessed with two amazing children, Josiah and Maggie who keep us very busy. We enjoy being active with yard work and being involved in many sports. When not outside I enjoy reading and playing my trumpet. Another important thing you should know is we are huge Michigan Wolverine fans, and like attending games throughout the year.
Philosophical Biography
It is a privilege to be able to work at Hudsonville Christian. I believe God has called us to work together as the body of Christ, giving us each unique gifts to glorify him. In all areas of education we will explore these gifts in each student, and help to develop these gifts. It is vital to have an understanding that each student is diverse in the way they learn and develop. I believe this understanding will build a Christian community in our school that supports students and allows them to develop not only their academics, but spiritually as well. I look forward to partnering with students, parents and teachers to develop future generations of Christ’s followers.
