Personal Biography

I am originally from the Upper Peninsula.  I attended Cornerstone University and have stayed in the area ever since.  My husband Steve and I have two daughters Bella (6) and Emma (4).  They both attend Hudsonville Christian Schools.  We enjoy spending our time with our girls at parks, beaches, and camping.  We make annual visits to the U.P. and love the outdoors and biking.

Philosophical Biography

My thoughts of becoming a teacher started in my 5th grade math class.  I became a camp counselor after my senior year of high school for 6 summers.  Working with children has been something I have always enjoyed.  It is exciting to help students develop their God given gifts and encourage them to expand their comfort zones.  Middle school can be such a trying time for students.  They are changing in so many ways.  So many things vie for our children’s attention.  God has been placing on my heart the desire to help students know and live out their identity as a Son or Daughter of the King.  We serve a mighty God who is able to do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine.  What an honor to be able to mold student’s hearts and minds with the love of Jesus.  I feel blessed to be a part of Hudsonville Christian Schools.
