Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Ms. Holli Lanser
I am blessed to teach at Hudsonville Christian School. Ever since I was young, I wanted to be a teacher. I was the girl on our street that made everyone play school in the summer. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from Calvin College in Elementary Education along with minors in Early Childhood Development, Mathematics and Integrated Science. I am currently taking classes at Grand Valley to learn more about Learning Disabilities. I am excited to see what the Lord has planned for this year.
I was born and raised in Hudsonville and attended Hudsonville Christian School myself. I enjoy running, reading, spending time at the beach, many outdoor activities and shopping. I also have a heart for orphans and have enjoyed spending time assisting in gathering materials for a curriculum for Open Doors Orphanage in Guatemala.
It is such a privilege to work at Hudsonville Christian where I can share my faith with the students and where we can talk about how God created each of us unique and how He has a plan for our lives. It is also a joy and privilege to be able to openly discuss Christ and what He has done for us with trusting and gifted six and seven year olds.
It is my firm belief that God has given each and every child in my classroom unique gifts and abilities including the ability to learn. It is my job as the classroom teacher to help the students discover their gifts and abilities and find ways to use them to glorify God. It is also my job to help students to see the joy that learning something new brings.
I work to create a classroom that is safe, fun and full of love. I believe each person is a vital part of the classroom and like God calls each part of the body to work together for the greater good of all, each person and his or her own unique gifts in the classroom is needed to work together for the best possible classroom environment. I also believe that parents are an important part of the classroom and consider it a blessing to work alongside parents to find what is best for their child.
