Lamentations 3: 22-23 (ESV)
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
Mrs. Jamie Kamp
Professional
I attended Calvin College to study social work and graduated with my BSW in 2015. My first job was a foster care case manager with Catholic Charities West Michigan and after that I worked in housing services at The Salvation Army Kent County Social Services. During that time I returned to school for my Masters in Social Work. I graduated from Western Michigan University in 2020 with my MSW and a certificate in School Social Work. Upon graduation, I worked one year with Kentwood Public Schools before coming to HCS. I am so excited to be a part of the HCS community!
Personal
I grew up in Hudsonville where I attended Hudsonville Christian and Unity Christian High School. I met my husband, Jeremy, at Calvin and we were married in 2017. We live in Hudsonville with our dog, Cedar, and very much love this community. Our favorite thing to do together is explore Michigan through hiking and camping. My favorite place to go is anywhere along the lakeshore in Northern Michigan. I also love spending time with family (especially my nieces and nephews), playing with our dog Cedar, and gardening.
Philosophical
I am so grateful for the opportunity to work in a Christian school with a team of people who love Christ and love His children. I desire to build relationships with students as they discover who they are and whose they are. I am excited to walk alongside them, in both the good days and the bad days, by providing the support and tools they need to become more of the person God created them to be.
