Mrs. Jess Hollenbach

Professional Biography

I graduated from Calvin College in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in vocal music education. I taught music and choir for two years in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, before coming to Hudsonville Christian School in 2004. I have been involved in worship and playing the piano in church since I was an early teen, which has helped me lead and coordinate chapels at the middle school.

Personal Biography

I live with my husband and two young children in Grand Rapids. I enjoy photography, teaching piano lessons, and finding a good park with my kids. The highlight of our year is visiting the Adirondack Mountains in New York State, where I grew up.

Philosophical Biography

Music has been a vital part of my life since I was young. I enjoy teaching music and choir to middle schoolers, so they can find joy and success in music, whether it be through performance or appreciation. As I work with students in performance, I strive to show them their efforts are all for God’s glory. Whether it be singing praise music or a Broadway song, their voices point to God.
