Psalm 78:4

We will not hide them from their descendants;
    we will tell the next generation
the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord,
    his power, and the wonders he has done

Mrs. Julie Anderson

Professional Biography

I became a licensed Cosmetologist after graduating from Empire Beauty school in 2010. After doing hair in two different salons for several years I took a few years off and stayed home with my kids while they were young. God led me into the Children’s Ministry at our Church where I started as an assistant in August 2018. In January of 2020, I became the director of the Children’s Ministry and throughout the spring and summer of 2020 I was able to redesign the vision and layout of the ministry, this included creating a sensory classroom within our church and building a team to lead this class. I created this space so that kids with all levels of abilities could come and learn God’s truth in a way that they could connect with.

I regularly teach in all of the classes from Preschool to 5th grade. I also design and implement all the teaching plans and training for the team that currently leads and serves our families.

Personal Biography

I have been married to my best friend Nate since 2010, and we have two amazing boys. Isaiah is currently in 5th grade, and Marcellus is currently in 3rd grade. We enjoy being outside together in a variety of ways. It could be fishing, hiking, biking, tennis, swimming, or gardening. We love it all. We love seeing friends and family regularly and make it a point to have a good road trip on the calendar each year.

Philosophical Biography

I am excited to join the HCS team as they partner with families in teaching God’s truth through Christian education. There is nothing like watching kids discover life and grow in knowledge, and helping them in that process is so humbling and amazing. Having a school like HCS in our area has been life-changing for our family. Knowing that what we as parents are teaching our children at home is also being supported and taught at school is so comforting.

Our oldest son has received help throughout his school career from the ESS team and it has been such a blessing to our family. To be joining the ESS team is a joy and honor. I am fascinated by the uniqueness that God gave each human being. It is an honor to work with kids of all different abilities and help them grow into who God created them to be.

As a teacher, I seek to know and understand each child’s personality, gifts, and interests. This allows me to support and lead them in a way that honors God and how he created them. Being able to teach in a Christian school is another opportunity for ministry to the body of Christ.
