Professional Biography

After graduating from Calvin College I taught Preschool – Second grade for four years at a small Christian school in Lake Odessa, Michigan.  I have been teaching preschool at Hudsonville Christian for twenty years.  I have my Professional Teaching Certificate and received my Masters Degree in Reading at Grand Valley State University.

Personal Biography

I am married to Greg Cole. We have three children, two sons, ages 26 and 24 and a daughter who will be a senior at Unity Christian. My family and I are avid Michigan State fans.  I enjoy going on family vacations where we can truly see God! I love children’s literature – my favorite author is Tomie dePaola.  I also enjoy taking walks, reading Christian fiction and going to antique stores.

Philosophical Biography

I have a song in my classroom that we sing as our opening prayer every day called, “Be Like Jesus.”   My number one goal as a teacher is to live the words of this song; “I want to be like Jesus, think like Jesus, do what He would do.  In every way, everywhere, every day, let His love and grace shine through.  I want to be like Jesus, so that Jesus will be seen in me!”  I love my Savior so much I want my students to see and discover that love too!  In my preschool classes, we talk about ways we can be like Jesus and it fills me with such joy when I hear my students talk about ways they can share Jesus’ love!  I have been truly blessed with an incredible job at a wonderful, Christian school where God is the center of everything!
