Professional Biography

I have been blessed to be a part of Christian education my entire life!  I attended Hudsonville Christian School, Unity Christian High School, and I graduated from Calvin College.  I received my Master’s in Education with an emphasis on Spanish from Calvin College.  I have studies abroad in Dénia, España and lived with a Spanish speaking family for 6 months while attending a local university. I also spent a month during my senior year in Mérida, México were I was able to combine my passion for Spanish and love for sports by coaching/teaching volleyball.  Both of these experiences allowed me to experience a new way of life.  I learned a lot about myself through my travels and I can honestly say that it humbled me and made me celebrate diversity in a way that I never knew existed.  God opened my eyes to see His creation through a different lens and I couldn’t be more grateful.
