Mrs. Kim Atallah
Professional Biography:
I have been blessed to attend Christian schools my entire life. I attended Jenison Christian, Unity Christian High School, and Cornerstone University. I graduated from Cornerstone in 2005 with a bachelor’s in elementary education. I majored in English language arts and obtained an endorsement in learning disabilities. After graduating college, I had the opportunity to teach in various locations. For a year, I taught in a kindergarten classroom in South Korea teaching English as a foreign language. Then, I ventured out west with my husband to teach in the state of Wyoming, where I was a special education teacher in a fifth grade classroom. Our journey then led us to the state of Virginia where I taught in Fairfax County. In this placement, I was a third grade teacher for three years. I now find myself back home where I grew up, furthering my professional career. I am excited to be joining the Middle School staff as a Special Education teacher.

Philosophical Biography
I am so blessed to be part of the Hudsonville Christian community and be a light to my students. Throughout my professional career, I found myself teaching in public schools, which at times made it difficult because I had to withhold the most important truth of all. I am so glad that God has led me to Hudsonville Christian to speak truth, be an example, and to further expand his kingdom. I truly enjoy watching my students grow and showcase their abilities. My desire is that every child feels included and accepted in the classroom. I value strong relationships with my students, and to cultivate trust and academic growth in the teaching process. I am excited to be a part of HCS where I can make an impact on a child’s spiritual, emotional, and academic growth.
