“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”
Mrs. Kim Schreur
I graduated from Grand Valley State in 1989, with a bachelors degree in Special Education/ Psychology. I taught for four years in the Grand Rapids Public Schools, in a classroom for children with Learning Disabilities. I then took some time off to be at home with my children. I started at Hudsonville Christian in 2001, working part-time as a paraprofessional in the Inclusion room and became full-time in 2010.
My husband, Chad and I were married in 1989, and have been blessed with four amazing children. My daughter Tori works as a Recreational Therapists and Justin, her husband, is in the Air Force National Guard. My son Tyler is currently working for Gerrit’s Appliance. Bryce graduated from Calvin College in 2019 and Colton form Dordt in 2019. As a family, we enjoy camping, playing board and card games and watching and playing soccer. Personally I enjoy walking, having coffee with a friend, and reading a good book. I also love spending as much time as possible with my granddaughter.
I am very blessed to be called to the profession of teaching and to be able to teach in a school where I can openly share God’s plan and purpose for each of my students. Working with kids is such a joy! I believe that every child is a child of God, and deserves to be given the opportunity to reach his/her God given potential. My job is helping them to reach that potential, and to help them to know their value as a child of God.
