“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”
Mrs. Kim Schreur
I graduated from Grand Valley State in 1989, with a bachelors degree in Special Education/ Psychology. I taught for four years in the Grand Rapids Public Schools, in a classroom for children with Learning Disabilities. I then took some time off to be at home with my children. I started at Hudsonville Christian in 2001, working part-time as a para pro in the Inclusion room and became full-time in 2010.
My husband, Chad and I were married in 1989, and have been blessed with four amazing children. My daughter Tori works as a Recreational Therapists and Justin, her husband, is in the Air Force National Guard. My son Tyler is currently working for Gerrit’s Appliance. Bryce is a student at Calvin College and Colton is a student at Dordt College. As a family, we enjoy camping, playing board and card games and watching and playing soccer. Personally I enjoy walking, having coffee with a friend, and reading a good book.
I am very blessed to be called to the profession of teaching and to be able to teach in a school where I can openly share God’s plan and purpose for each of my students. Working with kids is such a joy! I believe that every child is a child of God, and deserves to be given the opportunity to reach his/her God given potential. My job is helping them to reach that potential, and to help them to know their value as a child of God.
