Romans 8:38-39

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord”

Mrs. Lindsey Heuker

Professional Biography

I graduated from Calvin College in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. I worked in public accounting for two years then worked for Meijer Corporate as an internal auditor for two years before having children and staying home part-time. In the past nine years, I have had various bookkeeping jobs as well as preparing individual tax returns each tax season. After moving to Hudsonville in 2012, I felt God calling me to work with the youth of our church and became the Director of Children and Youth Education at Immanuel CRC. I knew I wanted to be a part of the HCS community when my oldest started 4 school at HCS.  After praying about it, God worked out the details and I started working at HCS in August 2015. I am excited that God brought my passions for teaching children about Jesus and accounting together in one job as the finance assistant at Hudsonville Christian School.

Personal Biography

I grew up on Long Island, NY, and always knew I wanted to go to Calvin College. That’s where I met my husband, Darrell, who is from Hudsonville and attended Hudsonville Christian School. We have been married for 15 years and have three children – Jonathan, Madison, and Lincoln. We are members at Immanuel CRC where I teach Sunday School and Children’s Worship. We spend our school year attending our children’s sporting events – soccer, basketball and baseball. In the summer we like to camp, spend time at the beach, and take the kids fishing and tubing. My goal is to take my children to as many National Parks as I can before they graduate high school. I also love all things Disney, Christmas, and 4thof July.

Philosophical Biography

I have a love of accounting and bookkeeping and a love for Hudsonville Christian School. Attending chapels and hearing the stories that my kids come home with just affirm my husband and my decision to send our kids to Christian school. My role at school may not be with the kids every day, but I am able to be a good steward of the money that helps make our school function. I truly love working at school and being able to use the gifts and talents that God has given me to help the school financially and supporting those who are with those precious children day after day.
