“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Mrs. Lindsey Seaver
I graduated from Calvin College in 2004 with a BA in Elementary Education and minors in language arts and mathematics. I taught first grade for ten years at Crossroads Charter Academy in Big Rapids and earned my Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a reading specialist concentration at Ferris State University. I was blessed to join the kindergarten teaching team at Hudsonville Christian in the fall of 2014.
I grew up in New Era, Michigan and attended New Era Christian School and Western Michigan Christian High School. My husband, Brandon, and I live in Hudsonville and are blessed with three wonderful children, who all attend HCS. I love spending time with my family, reading and enjoying the outdoors.
God created each of His children with his or her own unique personalities, strengths, and abilities. As a teacher, I enjoy helping students discover their strengths and nurturing and challenging them to grow in their learning. I am so thankful for the opportunity to teach in a Christian school community, where I have the privilege to guide students in their development not only in academics, but also in their faith. It is wonderful to be able to teach them about our Lord and His love and faithfulness. As we go throughout the day, we find that God is not only our God on Sundays, but is also an integral part of every aspect of our lives. What a joy to share God’s love with my students openly and intentionally each and every day!
