Professional Biography

I am so blessed to be part of the Hudsonville Christian Staff as a Kindergarten teacher! In the past I have taught 6th grade resource at Hamilton Middle School, 5th grade at Bentheim Elementary, and Inclusive Education at Unity. I received my training at Hope College where I received my Bachelor of Arts certification in Special Education and Elementary Education.

Personal Biography

I am originally from Hamilton, MI and attended Hamilton Schools throughout my elementary, middle, and high school years. My husband Eric, and children Reese and Cambry along with myself attend Fellowship Reformed Church. Our girls attend Hudsonville Christian school and love EVERY minute of it. During my free time I enjoy spending time with my family whether that be camping, swimming, biking, playing sports or visiting with friends. We love discovering God’s creation through camping in the many different places in and outside of Michigan. My family and I love to travel and have lived abroad in Shanghai, China for 2 ½ years. It was such an amazing experience in which God provided for us beyond measure.

Philosophical Biography

God has provided me with such a love of children and wanting to see them all succeed. He has created us all in His wonderful image and I believe that all students have the ability to learn through different modifications and adaptations. It always amazes me to see God’s precious children so eager to learn about Him and His world. Coming from a public school upbringing and teaching, I am just thrilled to be able to share my love and joy that I have found in Jesus and be able to share it with His children. I can see through my own children, since attending Hudsonville Christian, their growth not only in knowledge but their following of the one true God and their personal relationship that they have with Him. This comes out in everything they do and say. My prayer is that they will see that God always provides and cares for His children. I hope to nurture my students and to provide them with many opportunities as they grow in their own relationships with Christ.
