Philosophical Biography
Teaching at a Christian school gives me the opportunity to integrate my faith in all my subjects, but even more importantly, in every relationship I develop with my students. The middle school years can be a challenge to comprehend from an adult perspective, but they are years of profound adjustment and importance. I enjoy this challenge and find joy in my students’ blossoming personalities, their sense of humor, and their ability to dig deeper into the significance of their lives. Jeremiah 29:11 tells us, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” This promise is one which can give confidence and peace to middle school students during these years of change and adjustment.
