“For I am convinced that…(nothing) will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Mrs. Rashelle Tamminga
Following graduation from Calvin College with a BA in English and a secondary education certificate, I taught at Sheboygan Christian School and Timothy Christian School. From 1991-1997 I taught seventh grade language arts at Hudsonville Christian Middle School. While at HCMS, I completed a Master’s degree in Middle School Education at Western Michigan University. After 1997 I stayed at home with my family, but continued to be involved at HCMS by substitute teaching and volunteering in the middle school library. In the fall of 2011, I started working part-time in the middle school library.
My husband Ken and I have three children, Lucas, Noah and Gena. We are blessed to have had our children attend HCS. We are members of Georgetown CRC. I enjoy serving my faithful Savior, caring for my family and reading a good book.
As a librarian at HCMS, I desire to show the love of Christ through my words and actions each day. I strive to support the teaching staff in their work in the classroom. I work to encourage students to grow in their faith and develop a lifelong love of reading.
