Professional Biography

Following graduation from Calvin College with a BA in English and a secondary education certificate, I taught at Sheboygan Christian School and Timothy Christian School.  From 1991-1997 I taught seventh grade language arts at Hudsonville Christian Middle School.  While at HCMS, I completed a Master’s degree in Middle School Education at Western Michigan University.  After 1997 I stayed at home with my family, but continued to be involved at HCMS by substitute teaching and volunteering in the middle school library.  In the fall of 2011, I started working part-time in the middle school library.

Personal Biography

My husband Ken and I have three children, Lucas, Noah and Gena.  We are blessed to have had our children attend HCS.  We are members of Georgetown CRC. I enjoy serving my faithful Savior, caring for my family and reading a good book.

Philosophical Biography

As a librarian at HCMS, I desire to show the love of Christ through my words and actions each day.  I strive to support the teaching staff in their work in the classroom.  I work to encourage students to grow in their faith and develop a lifelong love of reading.
