Philosophical Biography

God calls us to be Beauty Creators and God Worshippers. As an orchestra director, it is my job to help students learn how to become Beauty Creators and through that God Worshippers. We were created to glorify God, through music we can to this to our fullest potential. I am a firm believer that every child has been given the gift of music, it is my job and calling to teach students to figure out how to develop this gift to the best of their abilities.

My favorite verse is Psalm 46:10. The Psalmist says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” I love this verse because so often we are so busy and consumed by the craziness of life, that we need the reminder, that it is okay to be still. I often take this for granted. I will say that to my students and my own children many times, just “Be Still”, take time to listen to what God is trying to say.
