Psalm 25:4,5
“Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.”
Mrs. Sue Walters
Professional Biography
I loved my previous work as a Kids’ Hope director the past 7 years, engaging with students, providing resources for academic and personal growth, and being a positive influence and role model. But, with a move to Hudsonville, my role came to an end, so becoming involved at a school again was a strong desire.
Personal Biography
My story is atypical in that I worked for many years after high school before going to Kuyper College. A year after graduating, I married Curt Walters and soon started a family. I have 3 grown daughters and a son-in-law. We enjoy hiking, traveling, singing together, and just spending time in meaningful conversation. Personally, I enjoy sewing, singing/music, crafting, and coffee with friends.
Philosophical Biography
Along with being a partner in ministry with my pastor husband, I have always taken advantage of and enjoy opportunities to teach, whether in church settings to children or women, music in child care centers, Young Rembrandt’s drawing classes in elementary schools, and just being invested and interested in helping others to learn and grow in their faith journey. Living unashamed of the gospel is a strong value. It’s my desire that students and staff at HCS will see Jesus in me. I am excited this fall to be a part of the HCS community as a permanent part-time sub after moving to Hudsonville last fall. Thank you, HCS for enfolding me!
