Psalms 139 vs 13-14,17

“For you created my inmost being;  you knit me together in my mother’s womb.

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;  your works are wonderful,  I know that full well.  How amazing are your thoughts concerning me, God!”

Mrs. Vicki Brinks

Professional Biography

I graduated from Central Michigan University in December of 1991 with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education.  I have an English major with a minor in physical education.  After graduating I did some substitute teaching, but then I got a job at First Michigan Bank as a teller.  I worked at FMB until 1995, when I quit to be a stay at home mom to our three boys.  In 2001, when our youngest son was three, I started to substitute teach again.  I was a substitute teacher at Hudsonville Christian and Unity Christian until 2016 when our youngest graduated from Unity.  I was ready for a change, so I went to work in an office from 2015 until 2022.  I really missed being in the classroom and I am super excited to be back at Hudsonville Christian working with the staff and students again!

Personal Biography

I grew up in Hudsonville.  I attended Hudsonville Christian School and Unity Christian High School where I met my husband Jeff.  After college, we got married and started our family.  We have three grown sons.  The oldest is married and lives in Florida with his wife and their dog.  The second lives in Chicago and will be married in June.  The youngest will be married in October and will be moving to Southern California with his wife.  Jeff and I live in Jamestown and we attend First Hudsonville CRC.  We like to play all sorts of games/sports and I enjoy reading.  We have visited several National Parks where we enjoy hiking and visiting as many waterfalls as possible!  I love to plan vacations and see God’s awesome creation!

Philosophical Biography

One of my favorite chapters in the Bible is Psalms 139.  I love the fact that we are “fearfully and wonderfully made” – knit together by God!  I am not a knitter, but I’ve seen plenty of knitted items.   I know that it takes time and attention to detail, and that each piece is one of a kind.  What an amazing word picture of our Lord!  To think that He takes the time to choose the colors  of the thread and the pattern to knit us each into our own unique design. A one of a kind masterpiece!

I am so excited to share this Truth and so many other amazing Truths of God with the students at HCS!  It is my prayer that I will see each child’s unique gifts and talents.  That I will  encourage him or her to develop those gifts and talents, academically and spiritually, to the glory of God.
