Isaiah 43:2
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.

Professional Biography
I love how God writes our stories. Last year God brought me back to Hudsonville Christian after being away for 5 years. During my time away I taught at The Potter’s House Elementary School in Grand Rapids where my son attends school. It’s been a blessing to be apart of the HCS community again. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornerstone University in 2007. I love learning, so I went on to study at Western Michigan University where I earned a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education. I’m excited to see what God has in store for this upcoming school year!
Personal
I’m a single mom. I have an amazing son named Marquis. He’s a middle schooler at The Potter’s House. We attend church at Madison Square, in Grand Rapids. I have a heart for ministry. In my spare time I enjoy reading, riding my bike with Marquis, and spending time with my family.
Philosophical Biography
As a Christian educator I am excited to have the opportunity to work alongside both parents and other educators to encourage and direct God’s children as they grow academically, socially, and spiritually. Watching my students grow in the Lord on a daily basis is such a blessing! As God uses me to teach His children, I want each child to know that they are an image bearer of Christ and that God has a special purpose and plan for their life. As I teach, I seek to encourage students to serve God and their community to their fullest potential. It is my heart’s desire for God to use me in shaping young hearts and minds for Christ, and that is why I am truly thankful to be teaching at Hudsonville Christian.
