Mrs. Hannah DeYoung
Professional Biography
Hi, my name is Hannah DeYoung. I have had the privilege to work with children for the past 9 years! I have worked in a Christian daycare for many of those years and most recently in the public school system. This year is my 4th year at Kids’ Corner at Hudsonville Christian. I am thankful to work where I can fill my spiritual thirst for growth with children and impact their lives and faith. My educational background includes a child development associate credential or CDA. This gives me the tools and knowledge I need to achieve my goals as a lead teacher. I have learned so much with my schooling and the many, many years of experience.
Personal Biography
I have been married to my best friend Casey since 2013. We do not have any children yet but we both have a great love for children! In my spare time I like to spend time with my husband. I enjoy crafts hiking and I also am involved with our church. I volunteer with our Youth Group. I am also apart of a powerful prayer team that has enriched my prayer life. I teach Children’s Worship and really enjoy doing so.
Philosophical Biography
I teach because God has truly blessed me with a gift to use my positive childhood experience and my patience and joy for kids. I have a desire to help children to grow in the knowledge that they belong to God. I want children to understand how precious they are and that they are made in the image of God. I thrive to quench the thirst for the curiosity for God and what He has designed for their lives. I enjoy using my teaching skills to help them develop listening skills and friendships, respecting others while learning fine motor skills, introducing animals and science skills and expanding their creativeness with fun crafts. I also encourage character building during creative play.
I am so excited to be here for another great year! I’m very thankful for Kids’ Corner! As a Christian I have always had a deep desire to challenge minds to grow and learn. Being apart of a Christian school is the ultimate way I can take care of children emotionally and spiritually. What a joy it is to use my gifts from God to explore His creation through teaching! I am truly blessed to be a part of an amazing school system where I am able to create relationships with my dear friends and their parents! Our values and our commitment to achieve knowledge to serve God in all that we do praying together and praising God in all that we sing and do daily. I truly believe that the early years of a child’s life is the time to begin a faith foundation for their spiritual growth. Children have an innocent freedom to express their faith and ask questions as they learn and grow. I try to encourage this daily to the students in my care and I am so thankful to be apart of it!
