Personal Biography:
Before I went to Calvin University, I lived in Glen Ellyn, Illinois with my mom, two younger sisters, and grandparents. I grew up in a close knit family so, I am also very close with my aunt, uncle, and their three children. My faith has always been very important to me and I try to do my very best to keep Christ at the center of my life and spread Jesus’ love to others. Some things I enjoy are being active, traveling, and spending time with my friends and family. I have also always loved playing softball, I played on the Calvin Softball team for three years.
Philosophical Biography:
I decided to be a teacher because I felt that God was calling me to make a difference in children’s lives. I grew up being the oldest in my family and I always tried to be a role model for my younger siblings and cousins. My hope is that I can be a positive role model for my students as well. I am so excited and blessed to be teaching at Hudsonville Christian. From my first interview here, I could tell that HCS is Christ centered and cares about their students, staff, parents, and community deeply. I am thrilled to be able to begin being a part of such a kind and loving school. In my classroom, I make it a priority to make sure every student knows that they are made in God’s image and that they are very loved by so many.
