Proverbs 31:25-26
“She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness.”

Professional Biography
I graduated from Calvin College in February of 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Development. While attending Calvin I was able to student teach at both Allendale Christian and Hudsonville Early Childhood Center. Since graduating I substitute taught in several different schools and worked as a paraprofessional at Hudsonville Christian. I am so excited to be teaching 1st grade here at Hudsonville Christian where the love for Jesus is shone through the students and staff each and every day.
Personal Biography
I was born and raised in Hudsonville and attended Hudsonville Christian School as a child and then went to Unity Christian for High School. I have loved being a part of the Hudsonville Community and now being back at HCS. During my time at Calvin I was blessed to be able to spend five months living in Honduras, 1 month in Zambia working at The Esther School and learning about the languages and culture of both places. I have a heart for missions and other cultures and absolutely loved those trips. In my free time I love to go boating or spend my time at the beach. Be with my friends and family and travel to new places.
Philosophical Biography
I am so blessed to be part of the Hudsonville Christian community and to be able to talk about our mighty God with the students each and every day. Being able to marvel in his creation with them, look at how all individuals are created in his image and understand that God created us to be who we are and he has big plans for us is something I have found so much joy in. I am excited each and every year to partner with students and parents as we walk through the school year together. My favorite verse comes from Proverbs 31:25-26: “She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness.” I hope that the students I work with can also apply this verse to themselves and I pray that I am able to be a part of that process.
