“She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness.”
Ms. Whitney Nyeholt
I recently graduated from Calvin College in February of 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Development! While attending Calvin I was able to student teach at both Allendale Christian School and Hudsonville Early Childhood Center. Since I graduated in February I was blessed to be able to substitute in many different classrooms at Hudsonville Christian and I am excited to be working as an educational support paraprofessional at Hudsonville Christian!
I was born and raised in Hudsonville and also attended Hudsonville Christian as a child. I enjoy going boating or hanging out at the beach, spending time with my friends and family and traveling to new places. During my time at Calvin I was blessed to be able to spend four and a half months living in Honduras, spending a month in Zambia at the Esther School and learning about the language and culture in both places. I have a heart for missions and have been on many different mission trips.
I am so excited to work at Hudsonville Christian and being able to talk about our mighty God with the students. Being able to marvel in his creation with them, look at how all individuals were created in his image and understand that God has big plans for each of us is something that I find joy in. I am excited to partner with my students and parents, alike, to help my students succeed in school. My favorite verse comes from Proverbs 31 verses 25-26: “She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness.” I hope that the students I work with can also apply this verse to themselves and I pray that I am able to be a part of that process.
