A Letter from the Superintendent
Who is my child becoming?
This is one of the most important questions a parent can ask.
Few moments bring that question to the surface for me more than the beginning of a new school year. There is something special about seeing children walk back into the building, reconnecting with friends, hugging teachers, and settling into school rhythms. And beneath all of those moments is a deeper hope than just a good year at school. We long for our children to become young men and women who love God, seek wisdom, serve others, and faithfully follow Christ wherever He leads.
At Hudsonville Christian School, that is our prayer as well.
It is a privilege to begin another year alongside your family, knowing that God has graciously called us to help shape not only what students learn, but who they are becoming. That calling is captured in our mission: Challenging Minds and Lives for Christ. For generations, those words have guided Hudsonville Christian School. They are more than words on a wall. They reflect what God has invited us to do as we come alongside you in this shared calling to help students grow in wisdom, character, and faith. We believe God has created every child in His image with purpose. Because of that, we challenge students to think deeply, ask good questions, and see truth through the lens of Scripture.
As parents, we carry both excitement and concern as we think about our children’s future. We celebrate who they are becoming while wondering about the challenges they will face. Yet our confidence has never rested in the culture around us. Our confidence rests in the God who calls them, walks with them, and remains faithful to every promise He has made. HCS exists to help prepare your child. I pray that they leave HCS with a mind shaped by Truth, a life grounded in Scripture, and a heart that longs to worship Christ in every area of life.
Thank you for entrusting us with your children and for partnering with us in our Kingdom cause.
