Kids' Corner Childcare

Partnering with families means we provide support in various ways–including providing before, after, or all-day childcare for Hudsonville Christian School students. In Kids’ Corner, students will be nurtured and encouraged, immersed in the same biblically-focused, academically-minded environment. Our Kids’ Corner Childcare program is open for any student enrolled in Preschool through 5th grade

Nurture and Play

Our passion for Christ-centered education continues into our childcare options. Structured play and Christ-following staff result in spiritual, social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth. From naps to snacks and playground activities to educational centers, your child will be cared for and challenged at Kids’ Corner. Bible readings, free play, and homework time occur daily. Children will be allowed to play outside every day (weather permitting) and nap/rest every afternoon (as needed).

  • After school 
  • Full-morning
  • Full-afternoon 
  • Full-day 

Cost

Costs for Kids’ Corner vary based on your care needs and the number of students enrolled.

Before School: $6 per day per child
Full morning: $18 per day, per child
Full afternoon: $18 per day per child
After School: $6 per hour 
All day: $50 per day per child
Families will still be charged if a child does not attend Kids’ Corner due illness or a scheduled absence. However, each family receives three credit days to use anytime. So, if your child does not participate on a scheduled day, you can use a credit day to waive your charges.

Kids’ Corner Common Questions

Will childcare be offered on snow days?

No. If Hudsonville Christian is closed, Kids’ Corner will also be closed. If there is a 2-hour delay, Kids’ Corner will also have a 2-hour delay and open at 9:00 am for the kids regularly scheduled to come that day.

Will my younger child (0-2 years old) be able to attend?

No, Kids’ Corner Childcare is only  licensed for ages three and up and is only available for students enrolled at HCS.

Will my child be able to play outside while he/she attends Kids’ Corner?

Yes! Children will have the opportunity to play outside every day (weather permitting).

May my child attend Kids’ Corner on days he/she does not attend Preschool?

Yes. As long as your child is a student at HCS, you can sign up for Kids’ Corner any day of the week (based on availability).

When will school-age (Young 5s- 4th grade) children be let out on the playground during Before School Care?

Each morning, HCS provides adult supervision on the playground before school, beginning at 7:30 am. Young 5s through 4th graders are dismissed at this time. 3- and 4 -school students will stay in Kids’ Corner until their class starts at 8:15 am.
