As a parent, you want to find an Early Childhood Program that both teaches and treasures your child.
You want a partner that will help you point your child toward God. The Hudsonville Christian School Early Childhood Program exists to help preschool students fall in love with God and fall in love with learning. As we introduce preschool students to a school experience, our nurturing, engaging, Christ-centered, hands-on learning environment ensures students feel safe, loved, and ready for elementary school. Our teachers challenge their hearts and minds to explore, experiment, and see God in everything. HCS offers a variety of program and schedule options:
- Traditional Preschool: Available for 3-School and 4-School
- Nature-Based Preschool: Available for 4-School
- Dual-Enroll Preschool: Available for 4-School
Our 3-school, 4-school, Young 5s and Kindergarten programs have 4-5 different schedule options. It is important to us that we offer these options so that we can better parter with families as we challenge minds and lives for Christ.
A Message from the Director
God has been working at HCS for over 100 years, and we continue to move toward our vision of challenging minds and lives for Christ. He is at work in the hearts of our youngest learners, and we are excited to partner with parents to nurture hearts academically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually.
I attended Christian schools growing up and now have three children who attend Hudsonville Christian. I understand that Christian education is a big commitment as a family, but I also know it is so worth it! We are so thankful to get to partner together in shaping young hearts for the Lord. It can feel overwhelming to find the right educational path for your child, but please know that we are here to help and that no matter what, God has great plans for your child!
Preschool is often the first school experience for these little ones, and we are passionate about creating a safe, nurturing environment that points students to Jesus. We help them think like Jesus, speak like Jesus, and do what He would do. If you are interested in Hudsonville Christian, we would be privileged to walk alongside your family.

Traditional Preschool
HCS offers a traditional classroom experience for 3-year-olds, 4-year-olds and Young 5s students. The traditional preschool program focuses on academic and social learning within a classroom setting using both play-based and structured learning techniques. Students rotate learning while sitting on rugs or at tables. HCS will integrate a Christian perpective in all areas of learning, and we believe all chilcren are a gift from God.
Nature-Based Preschool
The nature-based preschool program features instruction that takes place in an indoor and outdoor classroom. God created children with a desire to explore, experiment, discover, create, share and play in HIS world. All learning activities are play-based, nature-inspired and achieve preschool social, academic, and physical development standards. This option is currently available for 4-year-olds.
Dual 4 School
If you’re looking for a full-day option, we offer a Dual 4 School program, combining a morning in the traditional 4 School class with an afternoon in the Nature-Based class. Students enjoy lunch with our Kids’ Corner Childcare staff and have different teachers for their morning and afternoon classes. They also get to participate in field trips and special days related to both the traditional and nature-based classes.

Kids' Corner Childcare
Partnering with families means we provide support in various ways–including providing before, after, or all-day childcare for Hudsonville Christian School students. HCS is glad to provide five childcare options:

Our Preschool teachers have a personal commitment to Jesus Christ. They also have the professional preparation for and experience in early childhood education. Each is certified by the state of Michigan and assisted by an experienced paraprofessional aide.
