Continuous Enrollment

At Hudsonville Christian School, more than  97% of our families return every year. This strong retention rate, combined with our desire to streamline enrollment for our families, is why we have implemented “Continuous Enrollment” for all students in grades 1–8. This means that once a student is enrolled, their enrollment automatically continues each year through 8th grade.

Simplifying Enrollment for Your Family

At HCS, we are always looking for ways to better serve our families while faithfully stewarding the resources God has entrusted to our school. Since a majority of families remain at HCS each year, and accurate enrollment data provides our team with the information needed to plan better and earlier, a Continuous Enrollment process is the right and natural approach.

Continuous Enrollment better serves our current families by simplifying the annual process and allowing HCS to plan wisely, allowing us to stay focused on challenging minds and lives for Christ.

Continuous Enrollment allows HCS to plan staffing, classrooms, curriculum, and resources well in advance so students are fully supported on the first day of school.

This means less work for HCS families:

  • No annual re-enrollment forms are required.
  • Your tuition payment plan in FACTS will roll over automatically unless you request a change.

How the Process Works

  • Students in grades 1-8 remain enrolled from year to year automatically.
  • Families receive updated tuition information each spring.
  • Families may withdraw without penalty during the annual Continuous Enrollment window.
  • Student information, such as emergency contacts, medical information, and permissions should be reviewed by families and updated before the start of each school year.

Key Dates

Clear reminders and specific deadline information are provided directly to families each year. Current families should check their email or reach out to the Administration Office for details. Generally speaking, the Continuous Enrollment timeline will be:

  • Mid-March: Tuition rates are shared
  • April: Enrollment communication is sent, noting specific HCS withdrawal deadlines
  • Early May: Automatic re-enrollment occurs
  • May 15, 2026: A $500 enrollment deposit (one deposit per family, not per student) is received

What does this mean for families new to HCS?

New families complete the standard admissions process and sign the Continuous Enrollment contract. A $500 per-family enrollment deposit is required and is applied to the upcoming year’s tuition balance.

After your first year, your student’s enrollment will continue automatically unless you submit the enrollment withdrawal forms noting your student will not continue at HCS.
