HCS Educational Fund
The Hudsonville Christian School Educational Foundation is dedicated to the promotion of Christ-centered education. Its primary purpose is to accumulate an endowment fund from which the earnings are used to reduce tuition costs to parents of children enrolled in Hudsonville Christian School. For the 2014-2015 school year, the Foundation gave $82,100 to help lower the cost of tuition for HCS families.
Hudsonville Christian will again be participating in FACTS, a grant application program. Families who wish to apply for tuition assistance will need to use the FACTS application format online via a confidential website (paper applications will also be available). The required application information will be easily accessible data from the 1040 tax return, along with financial accounts, and will require that copies of confirming tax documents be sent to the FACTS center. The $30 per application fee will be paid by HCS. The FACTS organization will analyze the information of each applicant. They will provide each member school recommended grant amounts based on need and financial status for only that school’s families. Through FACTS, HCS has the ability to more evenly distribute available tuition assistance funds based upon factual information the families provide in the application. Parents who have children in more than one EOCS school need only to fill out the application one time — the information will be available to the schools where their children attend. HCS Enrollment Grant
This grant is awarded to families who are new to the Christian School experience to help promote Christian education within the community. If your family is new to Christian education, please apply for financial assistance from an HCS Enrollment Grant by completing the Enrollment Grant and returning it to the school.
Tuition Reduction Incentive Program
Families can also reduce their total tuition by participating in our Tuition Reduction Incentive Program (TRIP). With this program, family members can purchase gift cards from the school’s TRIP office to use at hundreds of local and national retail establishments. Because HCS purchases these gift cards in bulk, for a discount, the savings are passed on to our families. When a gift card is used, a percentage (from 1 – 32%) of the purchase amount is automatically deducted from the families tuition account. So, just by using pre-paid TRIP cards to buy regularly-purchased items, a family can reduce tuition costs by hundreds of dollars.
