Faith + Learning Conversations presents: The Building Blocks of Faith

November 6, 2025 at 7 p.m.

Join us for a special evening with Dr. Robert J. Keeley, author of Dear Parent: A Guide for Family Faith Formation. A local educator, Dr. Keeley, will share about his “Building Blocks of Faith” framework—a practical, encouraging approach to helping children grow in their walk with Christ. This framework continues to be a tool HCS teachers use to nurture students’ faith and maintain a Christian worldview across all disciplines. Now, HCS is excited to host Dr. Keeley on campus to learn and to discuss as a community how this framework can help us all challenge the minds and lives of children for Christ.

Thanks to the generosity of the HCS community, a limited supply of Dear Parent will be given out as a gift. Books will be available at the event on a first-come, first-served basis.

About 'Faith + Learning Conversations'

At HCS, we exist to challenge our students’ minds and lives for Christ. Our Christ-centered partnership with parents and local churches makes this possible. A new way HCS seeks to enhance this partnership is by hosting regular conversations on faith-nurturing and learning practices as part of the Faith + Learning Conversations series.

There will be speaker events each academic year—one in the fall and one in the spring—in which we create space for instruction, discussion, and encouragement. The hope is that these events will help parents, teachers, and the broader community better understand God’s world and the students we are called to nurture.
