HCS is grateful to partner with parents in providing Christian education for God’s children. We feel privileged to assist our student’s academic, social, and spiritual development as we strive to fulfill our mission of challenging minds and lives for Christ.

These handbooks provide information about how we operate, communication practices, regulations for students, safety information, discipleship practices, health and support services, as well as tuition information.

All Hudsonville Christian School parents are a member of the Parents’ Club.  The Parents’ Club works to raise funds that will benefit students and to promote community among the families and staff of HCS. The Parents’ Club oversees administration and volunteers needed for:

• Fundraisers
• Social Events
• School Support (e.g. Room Parent)

The Elementary building will use a cafeteria-style plan for lunchtime for all Young 5s to 4th grade students. This decision has been thoroughly thought through, researched, and discussed to make sure it is the right decision for students. The Elementary School will have two grade levels in the gym at one time and three different lunch periods that we rotate through. We do have several students with food allergies or special dietary needs that we are prepared to help accommodate, and depending on the need, we will customize a plan for each child.

Volunteering helps lower tuition costs and further establishes our partnership your student’s education. Different volunteering options are given point-values based on a variety of factors including commitment level and/or skill-level required.

Currently we ask that each HCS household sign-up for “points” based on the information below:

• 0 points = if your oldest child is in 3 School or 4 School

• 5 points = if your oldest child is in Young 5s or Kindergarten

• 25 points = if you have any children in 1st – 8th grade

• 10 points = if you are a single-parent household with children in 1st – 8th grade

Those who do not sign up for their required volunteer points will be charged an opt-out fee of up to $300 beginning in August 2025.

You can reduce tuition by participating in our Tuition Reduction Incentive Program (TRIP). With this program, you purchase gift cards from the school to use at hundreds of local and national retail establishments. Because HCS buys these gift cards in bulk for a discount, the savings are passed on to our families. When a gift card is used, a percentage of the purchase amount is automatically deducted from the family’s tuition account. Christian education is an investment we are committed to helping keep affordable.
